Want to give a luxy look to your thin hair? Do you want to enhance the volume of your hair? Are you confused among clip-in, tapes, weaves, fusion, micro-link, etc.? Don’t worry this blog will not only help you clear the difference between all types of hair extensions but also help you pick the best hair extensions in Sydney according to your personality and face features.
Let’s get started…
- Clip-in Hair Extensions
These are the least permanent style of
extensions because you can quickly remove them and put them again on whenever
you want. Unlike some of the other hair extension applications mentioned above,
clip-ins usually take 5 to 15 minutes to apply.
- Tape Hair Extensions
These are exactly what they sound like. The extensions are pre-taped and then taped or glued together on either side of your own hair. Stereotypically a hairstylist would apply tape-ins for you because you need to bring into line them with the roots and they are installed with a heated gadget that warmth the glue. Furthermore, you would need to have them removed and then applied again. Unsurprisingly, when you apply heat to your roots and any adhesive product such as tape or glue, this can damage your hair but your hairdresser may take preventive measures to reduce the chances of damage.
- Sew-in Hair Extensions
Weave hair is applied by braiding the natural hair into cornrows first, then using a needle and thread to sew the weave into the braid or cornrow. Because of the way they are applied sew-in hair extensions are principally used for people with thicker hair.
- Fusion and Pre-Bonded Hair
Extensions
Fusion hair extensions also known as
bonding or pre-bonded are fused to natural hair with the use of various glues
as adhesive. Your hair stylist would require approximately 3 to 4 hours to
apply such type of hair extensions on head. Strictly speaking, your hairdresser
may even advise against this method as these fusion extensions might not be appropriate
for all customers because this type of application is very damaging to your
natural hair.
What do you want?
Here is another solution of a big ambiguity; synthetic extension or human hair extension! Confused again? We got the answer!
- Human Hair Extensions
As the name indicates these extensions is
exactly what they sound like. From top to bottom they are formulated from real
human hair. The Remy hair means, to run the hair in a parallel direction at the
same time all the cuticles (the outer layer of the hair) remain integral. The
hair is obtained from a donor. This way, extensions remain smooth and shiny
through the lifespan.
- Synthetic Hair
These extensions are however developed
of multiple synthetic, blended fibres. Of course, they contain no human hair.
These fibres are usually very fine, plastic grits that are made to imitate real
human hair.
